The SRAM XX Downhill T-Type AXS Rear Derailleur is purpose-built for the extreme demands of downhill racing and modern gravity bikes. Designed around SRAM’s Transmission architecture, this derailleur eliminates the traditional hanger and mounts directly to the frame using a Full Mount interface, creating a stronger and more precise drivetrain system built to withstand the impacts and abuse of World Cup-level tracks.
Engineered specifically for downhill use, the XX DH derailleur runs a 7-speed configuration optimized for tight gear spacing and maximum durability under race conditions. The system works in sync with SRAM’s T-Type cassette through Cassette Mapping technology, maintaining constant chain engagement and allowing riders to shift confidently even while putting power through the pedals.
Like other Transmission components, the derailleur uses AXS wireless shifting, eliminating cables while providing fast, precise gear changes and easy setup through the AXS ecosystem.
Built for Downhill Racing
The XX DH derailleur was developed to survive the harsh realities of downhill tracks, bike park laps, and freeride terrain. A DH-specific inline cage design improves durability while maintaining excellent chain stability and ground clearance. A Type 4 damper keeps the drivetrain quiet and controlled through rock gardens, braking bumps, and high-speed chatter.
Serviceability is also a key design feature. Replaceable skid plates, a rebuildable thread-on cage assembly, and replaceable outer link components allow riders to keep their drivetrain running smoothly season after season.
