The SRAM Maven Ultimate B1 Disc Brake Kit represents the latest evolution of SRAM’s most powerful mountain bike brake platform. Built for riders who want massive stopping power with improved modulation and lighter lever feel, the Maven B1 refines the original Maven design while keeping the same high-power performance that made it one of the most sought-after gravity brakes.
The B1 generation introduces a redesigned SwingLink lever mechanism that increases the initial leverage ratio for a noticeably lighter and smoother lever action. This change improves modulation and reduces hand fatigue on long descents while still delivering the immense braking force the Maven platform is known for.
To balance the updated lever mechanics, the B1 version also uses a revised caliper piston configuration with four 18 mm pistons, optimizing the hydraulic ratio so overall braking power remains comparable to the original Maven while offering more predictable control.
The Ultimate version features premium materials including a carbon fiber lever blade and titanium hardware, along with tool-free reach and contact point adjustment for precise setup.
